JOIN THE CAMPAIGN FOR ABORTION FREE CITIES'

Summer  of  Service

JULY 1 - SEPTEMBER 2, 2024

Did you know that 73% of our neighbors are unaware of their local Pregnancy Help Center? That is a huge disparity in our communities – but YOU can help change this.

The Campaign for Abortion Free Cities’ annual Summer of Service launches on July 1, 2024. Join our national team as we venture door-to-door this summer, wagoning free pregnancy and parenting resources to needy families.

You heard right! We are going door-to-door with wagons FILLED with supportive service items from local Pregnancy Help Centers like diapers, wipes, bottles, and more. We’re going directly to our neighbors asking: Do you need anything?

That’s not all! We’re also partnering with EveryLife Diapers and our local Pregnancy Help Centers to point people to where they can go for even more free resources in their community. Together, we will show that being pro-life is pro-woman and pro-family.

                  WHAT ARE OTHER LEADERS SAYING?

In ONE DAY, we gave away 678 diapers, 17 packs of baby wipes, six packs of baby food, two baby bouncers, two boxes of bottles, and five packages of feminine care products! Our team reached 100 neighbors, had 30 conversations, and helped more than 10 families.  We also met a woman walking with her stroller on the street who said she said she needed diapers and wipes. She also shared with us that she knew another family who needed supplies and asked if she could take some to give to them. Before we left, we also gave her our Standing With You door hanger so that she could connect with the local Pregnancy Resource Center…

Our Summer of Service team in Richmond, Virginia was able to provide for neighbors right at the door. One conversation we had was with a young mom struggling to provide for her children. We gave her diapers, wipes, and baby food, as well as a flyer with a QR code for Standing With You. As she chatted with our volunteers, she scanned the QR code and made an appointment with the local Pregnancy Help Center.  We also spoke with a woman whose pregnant daughter was living in a hotel after her husband left her when she became pregnant. We were able to pass on information to her for a local maternity home.”

We served a family that had a newborn and 3 more kids between the ages of 2 and 6. We were able to supply them with lots of size 1-3 diapers, bottles, baby food, wipes, and blankets for the older kids. They were so grateful, and the kids were jumping up and down with excitement as they got to pick out their blanket. The parents were extremely grateful and said they would check out the information on our local Pregnancy Resource Center where they can find more resources if needed.

We were able to give baby supplies to two pregnant women, three families with newborns, and lots more families with kids of all ages.

"We knocked on the door where a woman answered in tears because she found out she was pregnant moments before and didn’t know what to do. Life-affirming supportive resources showed up, right on her doorstep!"
